Why the crowd feels so convincing
Scarcity Mindset
"Only 2 left" turns your brain off.
When something looks about to run out, you panic and stop thinking. Suddenly you need it. You did not need it four seconds ago.
Framing Effect
Same math. Different words. You pick differently.
Calling a choice a win or a loss flips your answer, even when the outcome is the same.
Loss Aversion
Losing $20 ruins your week. Finding $20 is just "neat."
Losing something feels about twice as bad as gaining the same thing feels good. So you fight harder to keep stuff than to get it.
